Neurodiversity workplace solutions

‘Neurodivergence’ encompasses a variety of thinking, information processing, and learning styles that are different from those considered conventional. Conditions such as dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum conditions, and dyspraxia are included under this umbrella term.

It’s estimated that between 15 – 20% of the UK population is neurodivergent. Lifelink Workwell can help your organisation to create a clear process of support for neurodivergent employees that will support you in retaining, developing and attracting neurodiverse talent.

Our solutions include:

Neurodiversity workplace needs assessment: This session examines the employee's background, job role, working environment and challenges related to neurodivergent conditions. Reports with tailored adjustments are provided.

Assistive technology training: Through a set number of brief sessions that ensure understanding and proficiency, we aim to understand an employee's learning style and provide training on job-specific assistive technology.

Neurodiversity awareness sessions: Through coaching, our experts help employees manage challenges and uncover their strengths, while managers are empowered to better understand and support neurodivergent team members.

These sessions empower your team with the knowledge and tools they need to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for neurodivergent individuals within your organisation. Able to be tailored to suit the needs of your workplace, they familiarise participants with various neurodiverse conditions, emphasise strengths, address challenges, and offer practical guidance on making necessary workplace adjustments.

Therapy services for neurodivergent employees: Stress, anxiety, and depression are common concerns for neurodivergent individuals, and stress can exacerbate these conditions. Designed to provide essential support in navigating a wide range of experiences, Neurodivergence Informed Therapy typically involves an average of 6 sessions, tailored to address the specific needs of the employee. Our therapists are equipped to offer therapy that acknowledges and respects the distinct needs and experiences of the neurodiverse community. By identifying and addressing unmet support needs, we aim to mitigate the impact of poor mental health and support personal growth and psychological wellbeing.

LGBTQ services

We understand the unique challenges faced by the LGBTQ community, and our therapy services are tailored to provide a safe and supportive environment in which individuals can explore their experiences. Lifelink Workwell’s LGBTQ-informed therapy is conducted by therapists with specialist training, ensuring a deep understanding of the community's specific needs.

Therapy sessions encourage individuals to navigate a range of experiences, feelings and concerns in a supportive and understanding environment. This is a safe space where they can feel respected and supported in addressing feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression that may result from societal or personal pressures. By providing a supportive environment, we aim to empower individuals to overcome challenges and build resilience.

To foster a more inclusive and understanding workplace, we also offer tailored LGBTQ awareness sessions for all employees which cover topics related to LGBTQ issues, promoting understanding, respect, and empathy within the workplace.

Disability awareness sessions

Our disability awareness sessions aim to raise awareness of disabilities within the workplace and develop an understanding of the reasonable adjustments that can be provided - all in line with legislation such as the Equality Act 2010. We'll discuss models of disability, disability classifications, appropriate communication and also look at funding to support your employees. 23% of the UK's working population has a disability within some classification and this number has only continued to rise over time - our sessions will allow you to appropriately recruit, employ and support disabled individuals within your organisation.

Support Employee Wellbeing

Focusing on the mental health and wellbeing of your employees makes a positive contribution to the psychological and emotional wellbeing of your employees. When they feel supported in their mental health challenges and personal identities, they are more engaged, less likely to experience anxiety and stress, and produce better work in higher volumes. Cultivating a supportive environment where employees thrive leads to lower rates of absenteeism and increased organisational output.
